CORPORATE PROGRAM

Prevent stress from disrupting your business

Employees are routinely exposed to stress.  Coupled with common workplace challenges, many are also dealing with personal, social, or financial issues.  The sum of these stresses, and other life issues, often causes problems in the workplace including:

    • Inefficiency
    • Loss of Productivity
    • Absenteeism
    • Workplace Conflict

While employee assistance programs (EAP) often provide assistance to employees who are experiencing the negative effects of stress, addressing stress before it develops into a problem is rarely done.  Consciously Resting Meditation will help to manage employee stress and prevent it before it begins. We are dedicated to providing high quality, evidence-based, stress management training through corporate/employee wellness programming and corporate retreats.

Reducing Stress and Increasing Productivity in the Workplace

Many scientific reports offer evidence that workers who learn some form of meditation, as part of a workplace staff development program, are less stressed, are more productive, and have higher job satisfaction ratings than workers who did not meditate.

Consciously Resting Meditation will work with you to customize a solution to:

    • Offer seminars or workshops as a component of your established employee wellness or development programming
    • In collaboration with your leadership team, develop a customized, comprehensive employee retreat program facilitated by certified Consciously Resting Meditation instructors
    • Provide consultations on solutions to institutionalize long-term stress management programming within the company
    • Train and certify member(s) of your team to facilitate this stress management programming within your workplace

HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAM

Reducing Stress and Increasing Productivity in the Workplace

All students are routinely exposed to an inordinate amount of stress in their lives. Academic challenges, as well as social, emotional, or financial challenges are combined with the daily bombardment of technology (videogames, the internet, Facebook, Instagram, snapchat, etc.), and make it difficult for many students to “unplug” and focus on their studies whether in the classroom or at home. The sum of these stressors, and other life factors, contribute significantly to lower grade point averages, decreased retention and graduation rates, higher dropout rates and increased costs for primary, secondary and post-secondary public education systems.

A variety of programs are being considered to assist these students after their issues are identified, yet little is being done that will specifically and proactively address students’ resiliency to stress or to improve their sleep quality thus preventing the effects of inadequate rest. Currently, a Consciously Resting Meditation Program, designed to improve a student’s resiliency to and reduce stress and improve student productivity and success, is currently showing efficacy at Georgia State University, Wright State University, Morehouse School of Medicine, Washington High School, and University Academy Elementary School.

Research from the University of Colorado suggests that outcomes to meditation in the classroom include improved enhanced cognitive and academic performance (including attention and concentration), management of academic stress, and the development of the “whole person”.

Dr. Kofi Kondwani and his team have taught Consciously Resting Meditation to individuals and groups in a higher education setting.  For example, monitoring and evaluation at Georgia State University from 2012 to present reveals that students:

    • Calm the mind for clarity.
    • Reduce stress to improve focus.
    • Recharge to increase productivity

Dr. Kondwani and his team will work with you to customize a solution to:

    • Offer seminars or workshops as part of  New Student Orientation; First Year Experience Programming

    • Offer faculty/staff workshops and seminars.

    • In collaboration with your team, develop a customized, comprehensive student retreat program facilitated by certified Consciously Resting Meditation instructors.

    • Provide consultations on solutions to institutionalize long-term stress management programming within the university.

    • Train and certify member(s) of your team to facilitate this stress management programming within your university.
